grr!

So here I am at work on a Saturday, and nothing's working out right.

We upgraded our imaging system last night and everything here and in Paris is failing. So, I'm working with our IT liason Marybeth to fix the following problems.

1) The auto indexing servers are failing, which means that instead of manually fixing about 4 images per 40-50 page batch, we have to fix all 40 or 50 pages.
2) It won't let us mark anything that needs to be rescanned.
3) The validation queue is failing.
4) You can't create barcode sheets for certain types of documents, as it's saying that studies which have been fully operational for two months don't exist.

I'm stuck here till two at least and I have all the party prep to do! Must locate nearest purveyor of beer and liquor. That's two places because PA is retarded and a half and has laws that say you can't sell beer and liquor together - so I have to go find a beer distributor and a liquor store. Harumph!

Why can't one of you knowledgeable server people be here to keep me company?

That's even dumber than the (recently repealed, I think) DE law that says you can't seel alcohol on Sundays.

But it has its upsides. You don't need the same kind of license to sell beer and wine coolers as liquor so they have beer everywhere like pizza joints etc. and lots of places have it to go so you just need to find the nearest food joint that has a big sign that says "Beer to go" outside.
