Those who like Yellowcard should check out

Rufio
Brand New
Thrice
Taking Back Sunday
Starting Line
Decendents

Hot Topic's been pimping them out for a while now, take advantage of the new pop while it lasts :-p

Rufio-harder rock/guitar.... a little faster beat?
Brand New- very close sound.... a little more emo?
Thrice- screamin.... yeah, kinda but not as interesting or good
Taking Back Sunday- close... kinda cool
Starting Line- kinda slow.... very very emo, still kinda nice
Decendents- was unable to hear them...

the closest any of this stuff gets to yellowcard is taking back sunday.... maybe?

Those are just bands people who listen to yellowcard usually check out. I wasn't implying that yellowcard sounds like them. Hell they fit into the new found glory, simple plan, pop punk genre which encompasses like a thousand other bands. :-p

i was replying to brians desire not to wish to listen to yellowcard because of your suggestions....

i'm not trying to compare them- you brought them up and i wish to offer an honest opinion.

Ocean Avenue (the album) is prolly their best effort, most of it was available to listen to from their website, yellowcardrock.com.

Hardcore is pretty up and coming, I don't listen to it, but many people do lately. Yellowcard is far from hardcore.

they're not really hardcore, no..... but they're harder than some of the other emo typw bands out there....

anyway, they have a good beat and a lot of their songs are very interesting with the use of the electric violin.

I wasn't calling yellowcard hardcore in any sense of the word. I was referring to some of the other listed groups. :p
