I liked Harry Potter. It definately moved quicker than the first two. Even if we did go when the theatre was packed with small children. They should only let kids into matinees damnit.

I enjoyed HP but I heard a lot of bitching because the movie didn't stick to the book very well; especially considering that a lot of people call the third book their favorite in the series.

Haven't seen Riddick yet. I'm waiting for the anime bridge movie to show up first.

Riddick was wicked and will please any fan of scifi/fantasy mix type things. it's kind of like warhammer 40kish, very cool setting.

AZKABAN rocked. Yeah, it wasn't completely faithful to the book (left out a couple scenes which I think would have helped the exposition) but still really was the best film in the franchise thus far. It only gets darker from here folks...

RIDDICK... I haven't seen yet. PITCH BLACK was an underrated film in my opinion and I know I want to re-watch it before TCoR, so I'll re-post after that happens...

So I take it I should go to Saturday Matinee and pick it up? It's $19.99 w/ a $10 rebate. I rented it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd like to watch it one or two more times to get the whole gist of it. I imagine I'll be picking it up by the end of the week. If so, it will be my first ownage of a Vin Diesel movie.

Frankly, I think this movie is still his best work to date; though there isn't much to compare it to.

PITCH BLACK was a decent sci-fi movie that featured all the regular cliches, but did a decent job at it. Diesel did well in that movie because his character was so stoic, so there was no real need for acting chops!

Apparently THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK is just better than PITCH BLACK and already being thrust into the pantheon of Science Fiction. I don't know about all that, but I'll probably catch it On-Demand or something when it's released...

Riddick was completely different than Pitch Black. One was sort of a suspense sci fi movie. Riddick was a lot of action. Like the difference between Alien and Aliens.
