Vampires: Los Muertos, Batman Returns, Batman and Robin, Blues Brothers 2000, Speed 2 - Cruise Control, and Men in Black II all number amongst some of the worst sequels I've ever seen, and nearly all of them trailed an absolutely fantastic first film.

Blues Brothers 2000 had both the greatest car crash scene and the greatest celebrity band ever recorded on film.

Um... refresh my memory. The original Blues Brothers featured musical acts yet unrivaled and its car-chase / crash scenes were hysterical.

Of course, if you're swimming in sarcasm, then we're on the same page Wink

It was a horrible movie although I enjoyed the soundtrack.

I'm not saying I didn't like the first movie, but you can't beat a blues band with Eric Clapton and BB King; the entire second movie was worth it just for that final "Battle of the Bands" showdown.

I can accept that. Anything with Clapton and B.B. King has to have some redeeming quality Very Happy

I used to think clapton was god. Then I found out the Tears in Heaven lyrics were actually written by song writer Will Jennings. Crying or Very sad

Clapton is a Guitar God. Just because he didn't write the words to one of his most popular modern songs doesn't make him an untalented hack. The man has written tons of classic guitar riffs.

Exactly, and just because Bob Dylan can't sing his way out of a paper bag doesn't mean he didn't write some of Jimi Hendrix's best songs.

Clapton is a blues man, he's always been more heavily influenced by the blues than anything. He is one of the best guitar talents on the face of the earth right now.

We all thought Clapton wrote that song in a heart breaking moment over his sons dead body, that helped it sell, and he didn't make any great effort to say otherwise. Yea, the boy can play. I did't say he was untalented, just a hack. Did he even write Layla? They all come into question now.
Whatever happened to Jeff Beck, now he was good. Clapton probably stole one of his girlfriends, and sent him into a spiral of booze and depression.

Yes, he did write Layla. It was about his love for George Harrison's wife.

They all fucked around in those days.

I can agree on the Blues Brothers 2000 soundtrack, I actually have the thing. It is quite good. Their version of Ghost Riders is one of my favorites.
