Howdy,

now that A&A is gone by...care to post results by the way? I was hoping we could arrange for Diplomacy: Europe in two weeks, that would be either saturday the 30th or sunday the 1st. 'May-day' Smile

maybe we can even get a few games going in hopes to teach people the game better. It appears that Burnham, Miles/Walker(sorry, forget who actually owns it), and I have versions.

Ron has also stated that he may be available to swing on up to see us. I have been wanting to play his Age of Renaissance as well. I would prefer after 12pm start time, but I am negotiable. I am also willing to entertain any that are interested, barring a board limitation. Thoughts?

A&A ended with an Allied victory, after a long seesaw battle. Some highlights (or lowlights, depending on who you were playing):

Japan's fleet uses practice shells at Pearl Harbor, and ends up destroying themselves as well as the American Fleet.

Russia steals tons of troops and machinery from it's "friends" to stay alive vs. Germany

Britain conquers the East Indies... and then some

America finally drags itself into the war

Russia builds a Pacific Fleet!!!

Germany falls

Japan falls

Howdy again, slightly off topic.

would peeps be interested in trudging over to Ag Day and then return for some gaming of Diplomacy? Ag Day is 10am-4pm, this saturday, at the Ag college.

Why would anyone want to go to Ag day? I'm not trying to be snide ... I just do not know what the points of interest are.

"Look, cows!" That's pretty much my entire life before I moved to Newark.

Due to a lack of hotties at my high school, I can agree.

I dunno. I've never been so I thought I'd check it out. I heard they have food and a petting zoo and I was hoping to see some cure baby animals with it being spring and all. I live right there so i figured why not ckeck it out and maybe buy some plants for the yard but if it rains I will probably play with video games instead.

You go because they have absolutely ORGASMIC food. That's all.

You can also eat bugs baked into cookies for free and get an I ate bugs sticker to wear, or sometimes they have millipede stir fry (also for free and stickered).

Ask Ken/wolfman about the orgasmic food. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Uty, perhaps visiting Ag Day would educate you and remove this negative stygma you associate with "Ag". Those that are philanthropic in nature and do not have large sums of money to toss at the local community can still support the local community by going to charity and fund-raising functions such as this.

Too bad it is crumby weather, turn-out is low. And for the fact that you saw cows as you grew up does not mean you understand them. There are posters that identify the current undergraduate and graduate research programs being conducted as well as tables for local organizations like 4H, big brothers/big sisters of delaware, delaware dept of agriculture, local horse clubs, etc. And, the petting zoo brings in all the chicks.
