A guy in my office is interested in the creation of a new site, around 10 pages, with a simple flash intro similar to this site. He will provide basic layout, logo, and audio - and is willing to pay around $150-$200.

If you're interested, let me know.

$150-$200? For 10 pages and flash? I'd like to hear if he can pull that off. Or did you leave off a zero? Razz We'd charge about $700 (probably more) for that I think, and our prices, we're often told, are pretty low.

I don't know the going rate - so you would charge around $700? Is that all in Flash?

$150 - $200 would get him my basic designs and ideas. I would then charge $75 - $150 / hour for the flash work.
My advice for someone who dosen't want to spend that much money on a flash site is to buy Swish which is a cheep Flash knock-off but works well, and do all the work themselves.

I just looked at our rates and it looks like it'd be $1,500 for the 10 page site. Flash stuff would be additional - I'm not sure how much more - it'd depend on how much you want but it's $85/hr. But, remember we do custom design, there are probably places where they give you a cookie cutter (read not very original looking but cheaper) template to dump your content into. But I don't think it'd be too much cheaper if at all.

Swish I've never heard of.. interesting...
