My company is hiring and I am trying to help them out.

We need .Net/C# and VFP (thats Visual Fox Pro) developers.

It is a quickly growing company and they have been quite good to me.

Job Title: Operational Developer
Department: Application Development

Reports To: Manager of Operational Development

PRIMARY PURPOSE OR POSITION OBJECTIVES

An Operational Developer’s duty is to perform various critical coding activities in support of GCom2 software implementations, professional services and application support. As a general matter, Operational Development involves writing compartmentalized code sections to manipulate VFP cursor data to support a wide variety of business rules and reporting needs. They may also be involved, to varying degrees, in ancillary tasks including research, analysis, design, unit testing, and modeling.

Operational Developers are expected to be fluent in Visual Foxpro, data-centric programming techniques, SQL Server/T-SQL, the general principles of object oriented design and development, and have a strong working knowledge of data manipulation techniques.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and code new software utilities and rules per instruction and/or specifications
• Produce solid code under tight deadlines
• Effective and constructive collaboration with implementation and professional services personnel
• Locate and fix (debug) anomalies and other problems with existing software as directed
• Add enhancements and new features to software utilities and rules per specification
• Perform R&D, documentation, testing, analysis, design, and other related tasks as directed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Education: B/S or Equiv. Experience

Specialized Knowledge: High Level Coding knowledge in VFP
Solid knowledge of TSQL /SQL Server (2000/2005)

Previous Experience: 4+ Years in VFP, SQL Server, or related languages

“Plus” Skills/Knowledge: Web Services/XML/MCF
ASP .NET, Oracle, C#
XSL-FO/PDF Rendering/Automated Typesetting
Electronic Filing & File Transport (over Internet)
Accounting Software/Systems
