I'm trying to decide if I'm going to take a position located just south of newark...

Are there nearby apartments that aren't too fucking horrible?

Go to www.apartments.com

Pick Delaware, and drill down to the New Castle and Newark areas. There are a bunch of complexes to choose from.

OK, let me rephrase that.

After having examined about 20 or so listings on the internet I would like to know if any of you bastards have first or second hand experiences to relate to me on the subject of apartments in newark.

I have lived in a few apartment complexes in Newark.

Christina Mills (elkton road next to suburban plaza) - I lived there for 2 years, 2 bedroom with a loft. Some think that it is pricey, but I didn't think it was overly expensive. The apartments were nice, washer/dryer, full kitchen, fire place. The complex is nice and has plenty of parking, pool, fitness center. I am pretty sure you came to at least one party I had there.

Christiana Meadows - I know a few people that live and have lived there and I have heard all good things about it. Decent size apartments, washer/dryer, cable included.

Iron Hill Apartments/Stonegate - It's right over the border in Elkton, so technically you are not in DE. The apartment was inexpensive but a lot of room, washer/dryer, pool, good location with State Line Liquors, Nick & Joe's pizza/sub shop and Wawa in walking distance.

School Bell Apartments - Nice apartments, floor plans are a little small. Washer/dryer, pool, fitness center.
