The problem is they tried to start off too big. They didn't need the big venues at first (they never filled them), and thus bankrupted themselves. American pro football developed in small stadiums, so did baseball, why shouldn't this new wave of professional sports? |

Because people don't like to think small anymore - it's either start big or go out, or at least that's how it seems. I can't believe this... just when we're hosting the world cup as well. I guess I'll have to go this saturday just because we'll not get it again for a long long time. |

There really is only event types that are gaining market share right now everyone else is losing money hand over fist. Those two events are AutoRacing and X-Games like stuff. AutoRacing cause well... cars go fast and kill people, X-Games cause bikes and stuff go fast and kill people. |

Everyone around the age of 12 thinks the X-Games are the coolest thing on the face of the Earth, from what I've heard of friends and coworkers who have family around that age. |

I thought the NFL was still doing quite well. No significant gains, but no losses. Kinda like pop-warner football, gaining a couple yards at a time. |
