i've gotten about 6 hours of sleep in the past 4 days cuz i've been studying so freakin' much... plus i was up at 8 am for my bio exam this morning... the only thing that has kept me from passing out right now is probably the fear of sleeping through my last exam...
so far, i've had three exams... calc went fine, chem raped me, bio was the easiest final i've ever taken... i've got an exam tomorrow i still need to prep all the essays for, but at least it's not at 8 am again...
ok. i need sleep... |

Good luck! and...uh...glad I'm done with school. Although I'll probably be taking certification tests at some point. |

I agree, exams suck. I have 35 project papers on my desk and on Thursday night, I will have 35 final exams.
I HATE GRADING PAPERS!
If it were up to me, I'd give everyone an A if they did the work and show any sign of having a clue, fail the others and move on...  |

rob had a great idea: random grade assigner. just enter the name and it gives you the grade. easy enough, right? i mean, i don't actually have to grade all those papers, do i?  |

you potentially could do what a techer here supposedly does... throw all the papers up in the air... what lands on your deak gets an A... what lands on the floor gets a B...
there. done. easy. |

It was a lot easier when my schnauzer Packet was alive. I would lay all of the papers on the floor before I went to work. If she tore the paper up, it was a C, if she pee'd on it, it was a D, and, well, you can guess how we determined the F's. A's were separated from B's by weight. |

Ugggh. Well, I finished grading all of the finals. Now I am off to campus to finish grading all of these stinking project papers.  Grades are due tomorrow! |

I finished around noon. Must be getting soft in my old age, no one received less than a C.
BTW, Tuncay Saydam is in the Christiana hospital recovering from abdominal surgery. He is doing quite well and expects to be home for the holidays. You may have heard, he just retired effective the end of the month. We had a big retirement party for Tuncay, Bob Caviness and Dick Albright a week ago.

Many moons ago, I taught what is now known as CISC105 (it was 180 at the time, if I remember correctly). Used to have about 1/3 of the class drop in the first three weeks. About 25% of those who stayed failed.
