I agree. Folks who test "clue negative" are best served by learning that fact early and not wasting their time in Comp Sci. Let them find some other field in which they have talent. Fortunately, we have fewer students in the field who are driven by potential big starting paychecks since the dot-com collapse. I was seeing a lot of parental pressure placed on their kids to "get into computers".

There are plenty of things to learn and do in this world, you should be able to find something that will make you happy. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up. Rolling Eyes

Albright retired? NOOOOO! 3 CISC classes and he was the only prof I had. Now who will fill the void of making fun of Microsoft all the time? Of the three comp sci profs I've had here, only one found the time to mock MS with any regularity; I really miss it.

Bissell frequently made references to decompiling windows and fixing it himself...in assembly. That man is crazy and still teaching.

Dick Albright is officially retired, but is coming back to teach a class or two under S-contract. He is teaching 4 sections (one lecture period) of CISC105 in the Spring.

Dick got tired of dealing with all of his adminstrative duties, but still loves to teach.
