I am a long time fan of the Offspring. Smash was actually the first CD I ever got. Needless to say I was kinda dissapointed in the 3 studio albums after that (Ixnay on the Hombre, Americana, and Conspiracy of One). Each album had some good songs on it, but wasnt a solid CD like smash. Well...... The Offspring are back in a bad ass way. The New cd Splinter is probably their best album to date in my opinion. The songs are well written and use many different styles. Has an almost metal feel on some of the songs, but then has some songs that are beachy in feeling. It also has some hilarious songs, in true Offspring style. Its one of those CDs that you listen to from start to finish, and it leaves you wanting the CD to have more songs. |
