Alright, now that I have had time to think about it. Yes, I kind of was waiing for a sniper in the audience to kill one of them off so the movie would end.

Fresh meat!

Uh, I mean, hi!

It's been a looooooooooong time since I read the books, but maybe the timing had something to do with placement? Or maybe there were certain things that had to happen, and they had to happen at certain times. *shrugs*

And the claim to geek status only works if you read the books before you saw the movies. Before they were making the movies. Before you were in high school. And you had to walk uphill both ways barefoot through snow while reading them.

--[Edit]--

This was directed at shate98, by the way. Pulled one of my typical "eppy doesn't notice the thread going on to another page while she's reponding" thingers.

Are you kidding? A sniper killing one of them just would have made it drag out longer - they would have had to have tracked the person down, etc. etc.

Excuse me, but I should really let you know that Jordon (Strife) did read the books. He's struggled with dyslexia for most of his life and because of it, he really, really has a hard time with spelling. He has to spell everything like it sounds because words get mixed up in his head when he reads them. Be a little more careful with assumptions, please.

I've never read the books. The closest I came was when I tried to read The Hobbit once and never got past maybe like page 4. I think the last real sci-fi/fantasy series I read was the Dune in 6th grade. (Just the first 4, none of that "Chapterhouse of Dune" nonsense.) Don't be hating.

That being said, the movies are great. I still won't read the books, but at least I get to see some of the story.

The quote was directed at me only to make fun of me and my dislexic spelling, no need to be a name-calling-a-hole now.

Not to mention that MLS has published a braille Playboy since 1970 and has over 500 regular readers.
