...and before neight decides to weigh in with another "This was on FARK you idiot" post, I know it was on FARK but this begs to be discussed.

Orlando Bloom as the #1 spy in cinematic history? I can see him in that Cody Banks shit, but Bond?!? I just can't see it.

So here's my question to the TH faithful: If money weren't an object, what current actor would you prefer to see take over the Tuxedo in the Bond franchise post-Pierce?

Maybe Colin Farrell but he still looks too young. At least he's from across the pond.

Tom Cruise. I think he did a good job in MI, considering what crap writing and direction it had.

Ooo... gotta go with a "NO" on that one bud. While I can stomach a Yank being Bond, no way I'd go for Tom Cruise in that role.

Even though the movie I saw him in sucked MAJOR donkey-balls, Justin Theroux, I think, could be a pretty decent Bond. Also, Cillian Murphy might be a good choice too and he seems to be an IT-Boy lately due to 28 Days Later (plus he's also playing Dr. Crane in Batman Begins in 2005).

I nominate Graham Norton for the role of James Bond, just to be absurd.

In the interest of equal opportunity, I nominate Julia Childs. Rolling Eyes

In that case I would nominate Diana Rigg, but she's way too old. At least she has experience in the genre. Instead I'll nominate Elizabeth Hurley!

Ah, but just think of the fight scenes with Mrs Childs fending off six niinjas with kitchen appliances!

I agree with Cillian Murphy, he's slowly becoming one of my favorite actors.

i'm going with a big no on Colin Farrell. his boo-hoo pouty face makes me want to punch him all the time. no worthwhile bond girl is going to get her panties in a jumble over a guy with a bigger vagina than her.

maybe ewan mcgregor or christian bale could pull it off.

Ewan McGregor would be great, but I think he's still a little too young. I think Clive Owen would do a great job, too.

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't go with either McGregor or Bale only because they are so tied into other franchises right now (Star Wars & Batman respectively). Although Roger Moore WAS well-known as "The Saint" before his Bond stint, so you never know...
