I just watched SAW. Great fucking movie!!!!!!!! I guarantee that 90% of you here would love it. If you liked Kiss the Girls and Along Came A Spider, you'll love this.

The movie was made by two young filmmakers, our age (25-28 ). It's got awesome actors in it (Danny Glover, Monica Potter, Cary Elwes), and a great moral plotline. There's just enough of the moral dilemmas to make you think, but not to take over the movie.

Interesting fact: They filmed the entire film in 18 days!!!!

Now my only problem is that the movie was just disturbing enough that I don't want to go to sleep. I've got to stay up now and watch tv to get the movie out of my system.

P.S. Cary Elwes would be my next pick for the new James Bond; next to Clive Owen.

Yeah, all I read was shitty reviews of it too. Besides, "horror" movies are never scarey. They should just change the category from "horror" to "bloody comedies."

But hey, not like I got anything better to do on a Friday night.

i saw Saw in the theater. it was pretty good, not as scary as i thought it would be. but it did make you think about morals and what would you do compared with the characters.

I was a little disturbed after watching it. plus i didnt see that ending coming. Shocked

i didn't think it was scary at all.. save one part, when the guy crawls out of his car.
as far as predictable, i suppose i've seen too many horror movies, but i knew the killer as soon as he appeared on the screen in the begining. whenever a completely unimportant character is introduced mistakenly, it's always him that wants the revenge.
i dunno i went with friends to see it a while back and we were all really dissapointed.
the grudge on the other hand, though also predictable, was at least creepy enough to scare me. i'd def. recommend that over saw.

yeah, thats what i thought about each, but then i saw them both.
I thought the grudge looked like crap, but i wound up renting it and was creeped out by it start to finish. saw had a few good ideas, but ended up being a big let down.

The Grudge was a piece of shit; in part because I hate Sara Michelle Gellar. Seriously, check out Saw if you can. Even if you don't enjoy it as a horror movie, think about what you would do in some of those situations. Or just watch it for the good actors they got for a low-budget film.

Yeah, I didn't really see the ending coming. I had the guy guessed, but convinced myself out of it.

I havn't seen either. I'm likely seeing the Japanese original version of the Grudge (which is at Blockbuster I'm told) this week.

I would like to see The Saw because I hear that is a psychological type of horror. Which I really enjoy. But sometimes it can be trite in a real context. For example, any resident of the Bronx would rip Hannibal Lector to pieces without thinking twice.

Unless it's particularly gory, I can't imagine that there's much in Saw to scare. "Psychological" thrillers just translate to boredom for me.

I just watched Saw last night. I thought it was pretty neat, but not scarey or disturbing by any means. I mean, sure the guy putting people in these 'games' is portrayed as a sick fuck and all, but eh. It's a movie. Guess if it were real I might be more creeped out about it.

Besides that, Cary Elwes crawling on the floor like a blubbering baby got on my nerves. Blame it on the hormones. Besides! He wasn't wearing the proper attire!
