John Scoggin, is there anything he can't do? I mean, besides let down the Mayor. He can't do that...not ever!

He can't motivate me to be a good student! Then again I'm one of those "do it my own way or else" maveric kinda kids. That especially includes spelling.

I was thinking more that you "excluded" spelling, but that's just me.

Fiee, I know of some others if you need, are you looking FT or PT?

Either. At this stage I'd take almost anything. I mean we all would love high paying part-time. Smile You know, enough money to live a great life on but in half the time. . .

I had a lot of problems last semester motivating students, I am not sure why. Gave a lot of bad grades out - bad experience. It is the first time in over 20 years that I taught a significant number of non-CIS majors (MIS folks). I don't believe that I want to do that again.

But, back on topic, hope that one of those jobs work out. Conectiv is a subsidiary of PEPCO Holdings and there is a lot of bureaucracy in the hiring decisions now. Don't be surprised if it drags on for a month or more.

Also, FYI, the Conectiv name is going away soon. We are going back to Delmarva Power and Atlantic Energy! But if you work in the Corporate common services areas (like Finance and IT), you will work for PHI Services. Not that it makes a lot of difference - pay is still the same. Work environment is OK too - I am coming up on my 28th anniversary here.

Yeah i got a confirmation email from pepco i went "what?" but after reading it i figured out who it was. Even the email says they will be reviewing it for a couple of "weeks" before contacting me. Thank you though.

P.S. I am still looking if anyone else has any ideas.

Most of those jobs on the Conectiv/PEPCO/Delmarva/ACE jobsite are still showing as open. Did you ever hear back?

UDel College of Marine Studies is looking for someone with an accounting/finance/business background to manage the College's finances (http://www.udel.edu/udjobs/current/s-1797.html).
