I like it. I hope that doesn't scare people away.

Ah but the original thread (started by me) pre-dates the "Review" section by many months. Therefore I can't take any righteous blame! Of course that has never stopped anyone before...

I've seen the movie twice now and it really is amazing what Christopher Nolan has done with everything. I don't believe any actor was a "weak link" in this film and even Ms. Scientology 2005 played a good role (even though the next-to-last scene, well... it must have been REALLY cold). Michael Caine radiates a strong love for Christian Bale's character and Morgan Freeman lends his solid style to Lucious Fox. Truthfully, Tom Wilkinson and Cillian Murphy were the two stand-outs in this film to me. Both played their characters with a degree of perfection as I admire both actors outside of "Gotham."

Apparently this was the first film in a planned triology by Nolan and the second villan is set up in a deliciously offhand way (more of an afterthought to the characters, but a nice fan-boy "YEAH!" to the geeks in the audience).

mike, fiee and i went to see it last night, loved it!!!

although i haven't actually seen the first two Batman movies, i am glad this one moved away from the campiness of the 3rd and 4th. personally i thought Christian Bale was perfect in the role!

i highly recommend this flick for those who are fans of the first two.

Yes, it is quite awesome. Quite dark, spiffy. Some plotholes you could drive a Firefly through, but eh. Excellent film.

I think that this one was perhaps at least as good as the first. Now, in the next one, I can honestly say that nobody's going to out Joker Jack, but so far so good.

I'm not 100% sure on the validity of this, but there is a grassroots campaign to get Mark Hamill as The Joker in the next film. I doubt anyone DOESN'T know, but just in case, Mark Hamill was the voice of The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series.

Actually, I didn't know that. It's good to see that Luke is still getting work somewhere.

I haven't seen it yet, but something interesting popped up recently. Howard Stern played an interview that some station did with Christian Bale; and he was speaking normal "American" English instead of "normal" English. Can anyone else figure that out? Isn't he an English actor?

Then why the hell doesn't he do interviews with an accent? Seems rather strange....

hasn't he been living in the states for a really long time? maybe he doesn't have much of an accent....if he was just born in wales but grew up here, he might not really have an accent at all

edit: according to imdb.com, he was raised in wales, portugal and california and has used a different accent for every film he's been in
