So, I'm interested in RSS - especially since I've found out about google reader - so that I can access all my bookmarks, essentially, while I'm anywhere! There are some comics & such that don't update, but most of the good ones do. My real question is, do you RSS, if so, why, and what type? Obviously I'm pretty into Google reader, but I'm interested in what live bookmarks does for people, and I know there are other options too.
Also - what is the real point of RSS for something that updates regularly/on schedule? PVP is on RSS, but it updates daily, so what is the real benefit?

I started using the google reader over the winter break. I have my family's blogs, a few comics, some sports news sites, tech news sites and some gaming news sites on it. I find it really convenient for news especially. I like getting just the text and pics from a blog entry w/o all the other garbage. if something is really interesting i click through to the real page.
it's still handy even for daily things to save clicking and loading, plus you can see old stuff. there are even handy keyboard shortcuts so you can navigate around the reader w/o the mouse.
here are my subs:
Code:

I use the google reader, too, but I keep it on my google homepage. I can see what's updated, read the latest, without ever navigating from my google front page. I find it much easier than trying to remember to check all different sites.
