I've decided to see how the other half lives and install Debian for my home server. The beast is now up and running and most driver issues are ironed out. Which GUI platform do ya'll recommend.

I liked Wmaker a lot back in the day, but now all the cool toys are made for Gnome and Ice-something. Or FVWM2, I think.

I've always used gnome since it makes my eyes bleed the least. They just released KDE 4 though. I haven't tried that one.

I started to use gnome, mainly because it was easier to get to work. (much thanks to Knoppix for configuring my xorg.conf for me Very Happy ) I have KDE installed as well and I appreciate being able to use the K apps from gnome.
