I have just taken my first step into the world of remote control aviation. It’s a long story, but essentially a group of us guys here at work decided to go in on a wholesale case of fully functional micro electric helicopters. Check out the video! It’s a very small lightweight helicopter that’s designed for very stable, relatively slow flight. It’s perfect for beginners and they’re only $24 each by the case. The co-axial rotors reduce torque on the fuselage and help to maintain a steady stable hover. The tail rotor becomes horizontal for forward and backward flight and the main rotors tilt and adjust speed to rotate. I’ve always been interested in flight and helicopters in particular, so this should be fantastic fun. Also, as of tomorrow I will be the owner of a condo and have a nice big empty place to fly it around in! Sweet!
