I finished my weekend with a lot of fun. Tigger and I went back to Newark on Saturday. We joined Julie, Miles and Blair for dinner, which was entertaining. Then we went to the UD rink for the second half of public skate. Tig got a little ice and then started to feel a bit sore, so Derek and Justin kept her company at the end while I got a little exercise and flirted (quite badly) with one of the skate guards. Then we went to a party in Newark that a couple friends of mine from UD were throwing and had a ton of fun there, too. Sunday afternoon I went up into Philly too watch some sports with Mazarkley and a few other friends from UD. Then I came home for a little break and off to a hockey game at the Pond. We got smoked pretty bad because of sloppy defense, but it happens. We had a lot of fans come out for the early game, which was nice.
Yesterday I had my first on-site interview of the great Job Hunt ™, and it went very well. I met with various team members, Java developers, a testing engineer and the manager for the team I would be joining at True Position. I really like the guys I met, the company’s products and the site itself. The only problem is the 45 minute drive up 202 into PA. Hopefully they’ll make me an offer that compensates well for the drive. I have a few phone calls to make this afternoon and another on-site interview at a company in Wilmington called Solstice Software tomorrow. They have a pretty interesting product line, but I don’t have too many details on the team and exact position duties, yet. The hunt continues!
